At The Well Episode 12 is live

6 August 2020

Episode 12 of the At The Well podcast is now available.

Celebrating the one-year anniversary of the At The Well podcast, co-hosts Catholic Youth Parramatta’s Local Engagement Leader, Qwayne Guevara, and Assistant Director Rosie Drum mgl, and writer and mother Joy Adan, speak on the topic ‘what is scandal? And why should I care?’, using examples from their own lives.

“Scandal leads people away from Christ. A lot of our decisions in life are that we either draw people closer to Christ, or we draw them away from Christ,” Qwanye explained.

“When we become quite intentional about how we live our lives, we start to see, particularly when we are pursuing Him, that all things should be aligning.”

Rosie added, “we are called to care about others, and particularly, the good of their souls.”

The idea to start a podcast for women followed the success of several At the Well evenings for young women, which were inspired by the Australian Catholic Bishops Conference’s Year of Youth.

The podcast, the hosts explain, is a chance to build on the joys of the At The Well evenings on a more regular basis, a chance to give a feminine perspective on questions of faith and life, and to continue the conversations sparked during the face-to-face gatherings.

At The Well is an initiative of the Diocese of Parramatta, through its youth ministry Catholic Youth Parramatta.
